Trinity Sunday (4/6)

On 4 June, we’ll mark Trinity Sunday with two services of Holy Communion: a 9am and a 10.30am with supervised children’s groups in the Welcome Centre. Revd Vanessa Conant will lead and preside and Revd Dave Edmondson will preach. 

Heritage Tours at St Mary’s on 31 May & 3 June

Book a place to attend a free tour of St Mary’s, Walthamstow’s ancient church and oldest building. Tours will be held on Wednesday 31 May at Noon and on Saturday 3 June at 2pm and 3.15pm.

Pentecost Sunday (28/5)

On Sunday 28 May, we’ll celebrate the great festival of Pentecost with two services of Holy Communion: a 9am service led by Revd Vanessa Conant with a sermon from Revd Alan Moss, and a 10.30am Family Communion service led by our all-age team, with a short sermon from Vanessa.

Cyanotype Workshop (27/5)

On Saturday 27 May, join us for a free cyanotype workshop led by St Mary’s own Fiona Fouhy. Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves placing an object on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create stunning white and blue images. 

Sunday Services (21/5)

On Sunday 21 May, we’ll celebrate Holy Communion at 9am and 10.30am, with supervised children’s groups in the Welcome Centre and a baby lounge in the South Vestry at our 10.30am service. 

‘Material Witnesses’ Faith & Fashion Talk (23/5)

On Tuesday 23 May at 6pm, Professor Reina Lewis from London College of Fashion, University of the Arts, will lead an expert panel at St Mary’s to discus the diverse religious, spiritual and moral perspectives articulated through fashion and style – something explored in our inaugural exhibition, Material Witnesses.

Ascension Day Holy Communion (18/5)

We begin Ascension Day with a service of Holy Communion at 7.30am. Join us for a short morning service, and stay for breakfast if you are able. Please note that this service will replace our normal 8.30am Morning Prayer service.

Sunday Services (14/5)

On Sunday 14 May, we’ll have two services: a 9am Holy Communion and a 10.30am Morning Worship service. Revd Dave Edmondson will preside at 9am and preach at both services, and Revd Vanessa Conant will lead the 10.30am.

Chelsea Fringe at St Mary’s on 27 May

While the iconic RHS Chelsea Flower Show takes place late this month, fringe events will be held around London, including in St Mary’s Churchyard on Saturday 27 May from 11am to 2pm.

On Sunday 7 May, we’ll celebrate Holy Communion at both 9am and 10.30am. Our ordinand Jacintha Danaswamy will lead both services, and our curate Dave Edmondson will preach and preside.
