Our popular Burials in Bloom scheme is back! Join in with other local volunteers as we care for graves that are no longer looked after by planting beautiful flowers around them. No gardening experience is needed, just an interest in growing and spending time outdoors in Walthamstow Village’s biggest green space. You can spend as much or as little time tending your adopted grave as you want – it’s up to you!
Get in touch with our head gardener Tim Hewitt, and he’ll match you with a grave that needs some looking after. It’s also a great way to explore local history, and indeed, many people have used Burials in Bloom as an opportunity to learn about the person who is memorialised on the gravestone they’re tending.
