Cyanotype Workshop (27/5)

On Saturday 27 May, join us for a free cyanotype workshop led by St Mary’s own Fiona Fouhy. Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves placing an object on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create stunning white and blue images. 

‘Material Witnesses’ Faith & Fashion Talk (23/5)

On Tuesday 23 May at 6pm, Professor Reina Lewis from London College of Fashion, University of the Arts, will lead an expert panel at St Mary’s to discus the diverse religious, spiritual and moral perspectives articulated through fashion and style – something explored in our inaugural exhibition, Material Witnesses.

29/4 Workshop & Concert to Tell the Story of Walthamstow

St Mary’s will host an afternoon singing workshop followed by an evening concert on Saturday 29 April. Supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund as part our ‘Creative Church’ regeneration project, both the workshop and concert will tell the story of Walthamstow through music. Those attending the 2.30pm workshop will be invited to perform in the concert, which will be held that same evening at 6pm in St Mary’s – Walthamstow’s ancient church and oldest building.
