St Mary’s and the Parish of Walthamstow are excited to advertise three new roles, each of which will help us manage and or promote our buildings and activities as a church and Parish. Please see below for a description of each role, with a full PDF attachment for each job opening that includes details on how to apply alongside a full job specification for each role. Applications for all three jobs must be recevied by 12pm on Friday 17th February 2023.
From 16 January 2023, we will again be meeting in St Mary’s Chruch for Morning Prayer, Monday to Friday, at 8.30am.
Join us for Advent and Christmas as we reopen Walthamstow’s ancient church and oldest building to the whole community on 11 December with two morning services of Holy Communion at 9am and 10.30am, followed by Orchestral Carols at 6pm.
We’re holding a Quiz Night in the Welcome Centre this Saturday, 8 October, to raise money for our Creative Church regeneration project.
Tickets for the Quiz Night – which starts at 7.30pm and will see teams of 8 compete – are £10 for adults (£10.70 with fees), and £7.50 (£8.15 with fees) for children and young people ages 10-17.
You are invited to join us for private prayer, reflection, to light a candle, or to pay tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II by signing a book of condolence on Friday (9/9) as well as on Saturday (10/9) in the St Mary’s Welcome Centre.
St Mary’s Church is Walthamstow’s oldest building, and with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is undergoing major renovations to make it an inclusive centre of arts and culture – open to the whole community, throughout the week – alongside being a working church. We’re inviting you to be part of this history-making regeneration of one of Walthamstow’s most-loved and notable buildings by sponsoring a chair, which will include an engraved dedication of your choice.
Have you been wondering how our National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported Creative Church regeneration project is going? Revd Dave Edmondson has put together this brilliant video, which summarises where things stand […]
