Christ the King (22/11)

Welcome to the Feast of Christ the King.

Christ the King is a feast that calls us to renew our commitment to Jesus Christ and his Kingdom over and above any earthly rulers. It was started in the 1920s in response to the rising tide of nationalism across Europe – an alarming trend we see mirrored in the politics of our time.

Today’s service is led by Charnelle Barclay with a sermon from Revd Dave Edmondson. Our scripture readings are from Pam Stone and Teju Ademola, and Jen Powell leads our prayers and intercessions.

While you can watch our pre-recorded service whenever is convenient for you, we’ll be live-streaming today’s service to our Facebook page at 10.30am, with some portions delivered live, others pre-recorded. Join us on Facebook at 10.30 am this morning by clicking here.

Thanks to Jo Talbott and our children’s ministry team, we also have another brilliant service for children with songs, teaching and activities; access this week’s family service by clicking here.

Finally, donations are our primary source of income and allow us to serve each other and all of Walthamstow. You can give a one-time gift, or set up a standing order, securely and in seconds by clicking here.
