Creative Church Building Project Update (7/4)

Have you been wondering how our National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported Creative Church regeneration project is going? Revd Dave Edmondson has put together this brilliant video, which summarises where things stand as of April 2022.

Our builders, Borras Construction, say we are still on track to have the regenerated building open late this year.

When the works are completed, St Mary’s – which is Walthamstow’s ancient church and oldest building – will be open in the day, throughout the week, to the whole community, and will ultimately include a Froth & Rind cafe, an art gallery, history displays, underfloor heating, new loos, renovated meeting spaces, improved sound/ lighting and our church and parish offices, as well as hosting regular Music Halls Project gigs. All of this alongside being a vibrant, working parish church!
