St Mary’s Walthamstow reopened in December 2022 after a major restoration by Matthew Lloyd Architects – a project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. In addition to being a working church, our Grade II* building is now a beautiful heritage venue for concerts, wedding receptions, retreats, meetings, filming, and school and community events.
Fully equipped for sound and AV, and with a renowned acoustic, the main space can also be used for recording. Our smaller vestry rooms are ideal for meetings, away days and workshops. With views over the tranquil and beautiful churchyards, the church offers a peaceful retreat just minutes from Walthamstow Central.
By choosing to hold your event or meeting in Walthamstow’s oldest building, you not only help us to keep the history and heritage open and accessible for all, but you also support our vital community work.
