This week (27/3) is not only the Fourth Sunday in Lent but also Mothering Sunday, and we’ll celebrate those who offer mothering care to us, including the churches that have mothered us, with services at 9am and 10.30am in the St Mary’s Welcome Centre.
For some people, this day is immensely difficult. If that’s true for you, please join us for our quieter 9am Holy Communion service as Natalie Burwell preaches and Revd Vanessa Conant leads and presides at communion. We will also live-stream this service to our Facebook page.
At 10.30am on Mothering Sunday, we’ll have our monthly inter-generational service where we celebrate the gift of being a church family. Our inter-generational service is 35 minutes long and has songs, a very short talk and prayers – ideal if you are coming with young children.
And then at 6pm, there is Evening Prayer in the Welcome Centre, to which all are welcome.
