We’re pleased to announce that St Mary’s will be open for worship from this Sunday 6th September 2020 with a new weekly 9am Communion service, and we’d love to welcome you back to the building.
We’re following the best public health guidance, which means:
-Masks must be worn in the church building
-Worshippers will enter through our main door, exit via a side door
-All doors will be kept open for extra ventilation
-Social distancing of 2 metres must be kept in the building
-Services will be under 1 hour
-Capacity is extremely limited, so pre-booking is required
-Communion will only be offered ‘in one kind’ (bread only)
The service may feel quite different to one any of us have experienced before, but our prayer is that there will be great joy, comfort and hope in meeting together again and in the sharing of Communion.
We also recognise that the majority of our community will continue worshipping online rather than in-person, at least for the foreseeable future; with that in mind, we’ll not only continue offering the online services and resources that we have during lockdown, but we’ll increase our digital offering, with additional online resources for children and families starting this month.
