St Mary’s will participate in Open House London on Saturday 19th September and Sunday 20th September.
On Saturday 19th September, we’ll give pre-booked tours of the church every 30 minutes, 10.30am to 4.30pm (masks must be worn in the building), as visitors learn about some of the fascinating people associated with Walthamstow’s 12th century church and oldest building.
This will also be our last public heritage event before St Mary’s closes in early 2021 for our National Lottery Heritage Fund Creative Church regeneration project.
And then on Sunday 20th September, we’ll offer tours of the churchyard every hour, 12-5pm (face coverings are optional), exploring some of the fascinating people buried there.
