On Sunday 28 May, we’ll celebrate the great festival of Pentecost with two services of Holy Communion: a 9am service led by Revd Vanessa Conant with a sermon from Revd Alan Moss, and a 10.30am Family Communion service led by our all-age team, with a short sermon from Vanessa.
Pentecost marks fifty days since Easter Sunday and brings the Easter season to an end. It is a major feast in the Church calendar when we recall how the Holy Spirit was given to the disciples after Jesus’ ascension, empowering them to make disciples of all nations. Often called the birthday of the Church, we recall how, at Pentecost, people from different backgrounds who spoke different languages, each heard the disciples speaking in their own language.
For those unable to join us in person this Sunday, we will live-stream our 10.30am service to our Facebook page.
We hope to see you this Sunday!
