Welcome to our Sunday Service for 14th February.
Today we mark Racial Justice Sunday in a service led by our Rector, Revd Vanessa Conant, with a sermon from our ordinand, Jacintha Danaswamy, scripture readings from Tim Hewitt and Fiona Fouhy, and prayers and intercessions from Ruth Keane.
The gospel reading for today invites us to explore the story of the Transfiguration from Mark 9 wherein Jesus becomes radiant glory on the mountaintop. We consider the connections between this experience of the divinity of Jesus, our own journey as disciples and what it means for us as we work for racial justice in the church and the wider world.
