St Mary’s is honoured to welcome Professor Robert Beckford as guest preacher at our 9am and 10.30am services this Sunday 13 February 2022 as we mark Racial Justice Sunday and explore a God who cares about justice and equality and why we should care, too.
Robert is Director of the Institute of Climate and Social Justice at the University of Winchester and Professor of Black Theology at The Queen’s Foundation in Birmingham.
An activist scholar working across academic disciplines to address injustice in African mainland and diaspora communities, Robert is also an author – most recently of Decolonising Gospel Music: A Revolutionary Theopraxis (Bloomsbury 2022) – and a BAFTA Award-winning documentary filmmaker.
