Sunday Service (21/6)

Welcome to our service for 21st June, the second Sunday after Trinity.

Today’s service is led by Revd Vanessa Conant, with a sermon from Revd Adam Childs, scripture readings from Jermaine and Kaya Edwards, prayers from David Froome and music from Jonathan and Helen Rathbone. In today’s service, we reflect on Jesus’s call to pursue justice and peace, to challenge the forces of empire, and to live for his kingdom. We think about both the costs of these things and their call to fullness of life.

After the service, at 11.30am, we’ll gather on Zoom for an all-church hangout, and we’d love to see you there, if only for a few minutes. We know that many are ‘Zoomed-out’ after a long week of meetings from home, but it’s good for us to stay connected in this way, so do join us if you can.

Finally, if you’d like to give today to the work of St Mary’s – be it a one-time gift, or a standing order – you can do securely and within seconds on our website. We’ve been so thankful for the generosity of the church during this difficult time, and your contributions – which are our primary source of income – make all the difference.
