Welcome to our online service for Sunday 4th October. Today, inspired by our friends in Oxford Diocese, we begin a four-week series looking at Spirituality for the Long Haul.
In these remarkable and difficult times, how we will live as followers of Jesus – not just in the week ahead, but in the months to come as we navigate the pandemic and a very unusual Advent and Christmas season, all whilst being church – encouraging, praying and caring for one another and our neighbours over the course of this autumn and winter and into the spring?
Today’s service is led by Revd Adam Childs, with a sermon on ‘wilderness’ from our Rector, Revd Vanessa Conant. Today’s Scripture reading is from Susie Palmer; Jess Hall leads our prayers and intercessions. While you can watch our pre-recorded service whenever is convenient for you by clicking on this link, we’ll be live-streaming our Sunday Service for the first time on our Facebook Page at 10.30am Sunday morning, with portions of the service delivered live and other portions pre-recorded.
After the service, at 11.30am, we’ll have an all-church Zoom hangout until 12.30pm, and we’d love to see you, even if only for a few minutes. The link to this week’s Zoom hangout is in the weekly Parish email; if you’re not on our email list and would like to join us, contact us at email@example.com and we’ll gladly send you the link.
We’re also pleased to be offering a weekly online children’s service, with resources and activities for children and families. To access this week’s children’s service, click here.
Finally, donations are our primary source of income and make church happen; if you would like to give a one-time financial gift, or set up a standing order, you can do so securely and in seconds here.
