Welcome to our online service for 6th December, the second Sunday in Advent: a season of staying alert and waiting for the birth of Jesus. Today’s service is led by Revd Dave Edmondson with a sermon from Rhian Johns, scripture readings from Philip Brook and Rebecca Branch, prayers and intercessions from Dr Christine Checinska, Advent music from Jonathan and Helen Rathbone and a special interview with Cameron Conant about our Citizens UK ‘Just Transition’ Campaign.
While you can watch our pre-recorded service whenever is convenient for you by clicking here, we’ll also be live-streaming the service here to our Facebook page at 10.30am on Sunday, with some portions pre-recorded, others delivered live. Join us at 10.30am on our Facebook page by clicking here.
We also have another excellent online family and children’s service this week, with games, stories, songs and activities. Jo Talbott and our children’s ministry team do an incredible job putting these services together every week, and we would really encourage you to use this with your children – or to pass it along to families you think might find it helpful.
Access this week’s children’s service here.
This being Advent, we are also starting up our choir again – albeit virtually! – and everyone is invited to join. To participate, click here.
Finally, donations are our primary source of income and help us serve each other and all of Walthamstow; if you would like to give a one-time financial gift, or set up a standing order, you can do so securely and in seconds by clicking here.
