Welcome to our Sunday Service for 31st January.
Today we celebrate Candlemas, also called Feast of the Presentation, where we bless candles as a representation of Jesus, light of the world; today we also remember Jesus being presented in the temple by his parents (Luke 2:22-40).
Our service is led by Revd Adam Childs with a sermon from Rebecca Branch, scripture readings from Cynthia Arthur and Philip Brook and an interview with Revd Richard Springer of St George’s in the East about ‘Gospel Pairs’ – a simple way for us to reflect on scripture together.
While you can watch this online service whenever is convenient for you by clicking on this link, we’ll also live-stream today’s service at 10.30am on our Facebook page, with some portions of the service delivered live, others pre-recorded. Join us on Facebook at 10.30am by clicking here.
We also have another wonderful service for children and families assembled by our children’s ministry team. To access this week’s children’s service, which includes games, songs and teaching, click here.
Finally, donations are our primary source of income and allow us to serve each other and all of Walthamstow. To give a one-time gift or set up a standing order securely and in seconds, click here.
