Today we’ll be celebrating Harvest and reflecting on what this cultural festival means for us today as followers of Jesus, seeking to care for each other, our neighbours and our natural environment.
Our service is led by Revd Dave Edmondson with a sermon from our rector, Revd Vanessa Conant. Today’s scripture readings are from Teju Ademola and Stuart Lambert, Caitlin Edmondson leads our prayers and intercessions and Rosie Sibley is interviewed.
While you can join us at any time for this pre-recorded online service, we’ll be watching it together live on Zoom at 10.30am, with a post-service catch-up at 11.30am, also on Zoom; if you would like to join us for one or both of these, the Zoom link is in this week’s Parish email. If you don’t receive the weekly Parish email and would like the link, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get it to you immediately!
We’re also thrilled once again to bring you our weekly family/ children’s service, with resources and activities for kids. Jo Talbott does a fantastic job helping us put these together, and we really hope you’ll take advantage of it.
Finally, donations are our primary source of income; if you would like to give financially to the life and work of St Mary’s today, you can do securely and in seconds by clicking on this link.
This week, as part of our Harvest donations, we’re also collecting money for Christian Kitchen and Mill Grove Children’s Home. We’ve already raised £400, but it would be great to be able to add to this amount; you can give to these charities via our website by making a note on your one-off donation that you would like your money to go towards our Harvest Appeal.
