Sunday Service: Mothering Sunday (14/3)

Welcome to our Sunday Service for 14th March.

Today is Mothering Sunday across the country and in the Church of England – a day when we celebrate the mothers in our lives and the churches and faith communities that have mothered us, including our church, St Mary’s Walthamstow.

Our online service is led by Revd Dave Edmondson, with a sermon from our reader, Rob Duddridge, scripture readings from Stuart Lambert and Isobel Gorden, prayers from Cameron Conant, an interview with our Rector, Revd Vanessa Conant, and music from Jonathan and Helen Rathbone.

While you can access today’s pre-recorded service at any time by clicking here, we’ll also be live-streaming today’s service to our Facebook page, with some portions delivered live, others pre-recorded. To join us on Facebook at 10.30am, click here.

We also have another great online service for children and families this week, with games, activities, teaching and songs. To access this week’s children’s service, click here.

This evening, we also have Beer and Hymns, which we’ll broadcast to our Facebook page at 6pm, and where we’ll sing some favourite hymns and hear people’s personal connections to those hymns. We’ve put the service together with help from our Musical Director Jonathan Rathbone – you bring the beer!

Finally, donations are our primary source of income and help us serve each other and all of Walthamstow. To make an online financial gift to St Mary’s securely and in seconds, click here.
