Sunday Service: Second Mark of Mission (25/4)

Welcome to our online Sunday Service for 25th April. Today, we continue our series on the Five Marks of Mission which are shared by Anglican churches around the world. These are things we collectively hold to be important in our life as a local, national and global church, and which are most easily remembered by the words tell, teach, tend, transform and treasure.

In Week Two of our series, we’ll explore teach, and what it means “to teach, baptise and nurture new believers”.

Our service is led by Revd Adam Childs with a sermon from Revd Dave Edmondson, scripture readings from John Fairlamb and Fiona Fouhy and prayers from Jack Baker. Today’s service also features an interview with Revd Alan Moss – our newly appointed Lead Pioneer Minister – and Sarah Moss, Alan’s wife who is also an ordinand in the Church of England and will be ministering in our Parish as part of her theological training.

While you can watch our pre-recorded service whenever is convenient for you clicking here, we’ll also be live-streaming today’s service to our Facebook page at 10.30am, with some portions of the service delivered live, others pre-recorded. To join us live on Facebook at 10.30am, click here.

We also have another brilliant service for children and families this week with games, activities, songs and teaching. To access this week’s children’s service, click here.

Finally, donations are our primary source of income and help us serve each other and all of Walthamstow. If you would like to give securely and in seconds to St Mary’s today, you can do so here.
