Church happens throughout the week, but our main gatherings are on Sundays at 9am and 10.30am.

Due to our Creative Church regeneration project, both of our Sunday Services are now in the Welcome Centre, which is our church hall located just across the churchyard from the church building. We expect to be based in the Welcome Centre until late 2022 but hope to be back in the church building by December 2022.

Our weekly 9am service is Holy Communion – a simple liturgical service which includes a short sermon – while our 10.30am service celebrates Communion every first and third Sunday of the month, has a slightly longer sermon and also features music.

For those who are unable to attend church in-person, we will continue to offer an online service at 10.30am, which we live-stream to our Facebook page from the Welcome Centre.

St Mary’s 10.30am service is relaxed and welcomes people of all ages, including children and young people.

We are pleased to again be offering Children’s Ministry at our 10.30am service. The current pattern for children’s worship at our Sunday 10.30am service is as follows (please note that there will be no supervised children’s groups during the month of August, though our children’s lounge will be set up for self-guided play and children are always welcome in our services):

1st Sunday of the month at 10.30am: Children’s Ministry Groups

2nd Sunday of the month at 10.30am: No groups, but self-guided play in the Welcome Centre lounge

3rd Sunday of the month at 10.30am: Children’s Ministry Groups

4th Sunday of the month at 10.30am: Intergenerational Service (40-minute service, adults and children together)

St Mary’s is a diverse and inclusive church for the whole community where all are welcome, always. Whoever you are – and wherever you’re at on the journey of faith – you will be welcomed!
