Church happens throughout the week, but our main gatherings are on Sundays at 9am and 10.30am.

Due to our Creative Church regeneration project, as of 27th June 2021, both of our Sunday Services will be in the Welcome Centre, which is our church hall located just across the churchyard from the church building. We expect to be based in the Welcome Centre for at least 12 months, though possibly longer.

Our weekly 9am service is Holy Communion – a simple liturgical service which includes a short sermon – while our 10.30am service celebrates Communion every first and third Sunday of the month, has a slightly longer sermon and also features music, though we await guidance on when we can sing together indoors again.

Due to social distancing and the fact that the Welcome Centre is significantly smaller than our church building, we are asking anyone who wants to attend Sunday Services to pre-book, and also to wear a mask.

St Mary’s 10.30am service is relaxed and welcomes people of all ages, including children and young people.

For the foreseeable future, there will be no children’s provision or Sunday School that runs alongside our Sunday Services, but we planning to put on a shorter Family Service every fourth Sunday of the month at 10.30am. We are also looking for ways to put on activities and gatherings for children outside of our Sunday Services.

St Mary’s is a diverse and inclusive church for the whole community where all are welcome, always. Whoever you are – and wherever you’re at on the journey of faith – you will be welcomed!
