We’re excited to invite you to an in-person Vespers gathering this evening (Wednesday 8 September) at 7.30pm – our first since the start of the pandemic. There will be some changes since we last met: we are now meeting in the Welcome Centre (our church hall), the Georgian brick building located across the churchyard from our ancient church building.
We will also live-stream Vespers to our Facebook page for those who are unable to join us in person.
Finally, we’re asking everyone who joins us in the Welcome Centre this evening to wear a mask if they are able – a simple way we can protect each other while infection levels are still relatively high.
Tonight’s Vespers gathering will be led by our Rector, Revd Vanessa Conant, and, as always, it will feature two periods of stillness, two pieces of music, a poem, a reflection and a closing blessing. And though we draw on over a thousand years of Christian contemplative practice, Vespers is for everyone, regardless of background or belief. Join us tonight and every Wednesday at 7.30pm in the St Mary’s Welcome Centre for 40 minutes of stillness and reflection.
