St Mary’s will host a Christmas Fair on Saturday 23rd November, 11am-5pm, which will include a craft market, refreshments and family activities in and around St Mary’s, including a Santa’s Grotto (no booking required) in the St Mary’s Welcome Centre, located just across the churchyard from the church.
We’re partnering with The Creative Side of London to bring in over two dozen artisans and makers to set up in the church on Saturday 23rd November, allowing you to find the perfect gift for a friend or loved one this Christmas. Our Ruttle & Rowe cafe will also be selling coffee, tea, pastries and light lunches throughout the day, and we’ll have additional stalls selling mulled wine, mine pies and more. And our friends from the Walthamstow Toy Library will be running the Santa’s Grotto in the Welcome Centre.
If you’ve never been to St Mary’s Church, we’re located in the historic core of Walthamstow Village, between the Ancient House and the Monoux Almshouses (directions are here).
A well as looking for volunteers to help us run several St Mary’s stalls, we’re also collecting bottles of any kind for a bottle tombola as well as coins of any amount for a separate fundraiser. You can leave bottles in the plastic box in the church next to the A-frame sign announcing the bottle drop; you can leave coins in the white donation box at the back of church.
