Christ the King Sunday (26/11)

On Sunday 26 November – the week before Advent begins, and the last Sunday of the Church’s liturgical year – we’ll mark Christ the King Sunday with two services: a 9am Holy Communion and a 10.30am Intergenerational Service.

At 9am, Revd Vanessa Conant will preach and preside, while at 10.30am, Revd Jacintha Danaswamy will lead and Vanessa will preach. As it is the fourth Sunday of the month, our 10.30am service will be an Intergenerational Service, with all ages worshipping together and children involved in leading our prayers and liturgy. We are also excited to be celebrating the baptism of Robyn Waddelow at 10.30am.

This week, as we proclaim Christ as King, we reflect on the fact that the Church’s liturgical year begins with the Advent promise of the coming Messiah and ends with the proclamation of his universal sovereignty.

For those unable to join us in person, we’ll livestream the 10.30am service to our Facebook page.

We hope to see you on Sunday at St Mary’s!
