On the Second Sunday in Lent (25/2), join us for our 9am Holy Communion service as Revd Vanessa Conant presides and Revd Alan Moss preaches, or for our 10.30am Intergenerational Service as Revd Jacintha Danaswamy and St Mary’s children lead our liturgy and Revd Vanessa Conant preaches.

Our lectionary readings this week are Genesis 17:1-7, 15-16, and also Mark 8:31-38 where Jesus says, ‘if any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me’. In Lent – the liturgical season that runs from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday – we are encouraged to reflect on what it means to follow Jesus and to recommit ourselves to prayer and acts of service.

And at 5pm this Sunday, there will be youth group in the Welcome Centre lounge, while at 6pm, there will be evening prayer in church. We hope to see you on Sunday at St Mary’s!
